My name is Julien and I am 42 years old.
Having started the guitar as an autodidact twenty years ago, I soon discovered a passion for
fingerpicking, this way of playing which allows, alone, to tell a story (melody played with the fingers) while emphasizing the pulsation (alternating basses played with the thumb).
The years that followed my debut on the guitar saw me devote myself almost exclusively to the study of a blues and folk repertoire enriched by all the musicians of the twentieth century who played fingerpicking on their acoustic guitar (Big Bill Broonzy, Marcel Dadi, Stefan Grossman, Mississippi John Hurt, Paul Simon, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, Jackson C. Franck, Devendra Banhart, Eric Clapton, Chet Atkins, Gary Davis, Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Blake, Ben Harper, Robert Johnson, Skip James, Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, and so many others...).
I am now a professional musician, author/composer/performer, and of course a guitar teacher with fifteen years of teaching experience.
Teaching the guitar is one of the best ways for me to share my passion for music and to pass on the pleasure of playing.
The lessons are also a special way to meet and exchange with other musicians, beginners or confirmed players.
